Coming home last night, I was greeted with not only a big giant mess in the upstairs hallway, but also several boxes and pieces of furniture in my room, blocking my entrance. You may first think that it was my sister's attempt at a big giant Spring cleaning, which we all usually get around to at least once every year.
But of course, it was a bigger event in the household, than that. Moving day. Yep. My oldest sis was moving from one room to another, switching rooms for a big walk-in closet and to a room that would let in less light and heat in the Summer - very irritating things for someone on shift work.
My thoughts on this? It is a good thing for my sis. Not to mention, the room across from me will no longer be empty but will once again have an occupant. If we have the time, we could probably even fix up the spare room to be a little office, or even to play games in there - we only need a tv. :)
But now, the remainder things of the past occupant have now gone in the room with the big window, including the big green and purple alien that used to hang in front of the door (I will miss seeing that alien every morning). The door is now blank, with only a potato hanging on the door knob to indicate a new occupant. Unfortunately, I am used to seeing the purple alien. I hope something else is put in its place, like maybe a picture of a calla lily, or a poster of Paris.
Now we have to clean up the "new spare room". And I should probably get to cleaning up my own... Yep. Spring is coming.

I think the purple alien is now hanging on sis' old door... I'll have to look. That room is a mess now.
