"so violent its almost incomprehensible"

Thursday March 3, the killing of 4 RCMP officers near the small town of Mayerthorpe, about 140 km northwest of Edmonton, has shocked and saddened the country. I, myself, became very upset at the news and have been in a sober mood all day.

I think RCMP Commissioner Guiliano Zaccardelli sad it best - "I am very concerned about people in society who are acting in a way which is almost unknown in Canada, where people react in a way that is so violent it's almost incomprehensible."

My heart goes out to all the individuals and families who have been touched by this senseless tragedy.
