If its not FFXI, its sudoku

Yeah yeah yeah, I know. I had to write about FFXI.

So I had a month break from the game. It was actually nice. But with free time on my hands, I discovered another very addictive game called sudoku. I even managed to finish not 1, but 2 diabolical level puzzles. o.O I guess I'm someone who likes to keep her mind busy. Most TV, I find, is not that interesting to me.

So when I got back from vacation, I went to my mom's house to hang out with the sisters. What did we do all night, for about 2 or 3 hours? We all played sudoku, haha!! How funny.

Anyway, I'm back in FFXI now, and since I've been gone from that game, many things have happened. Chocobo raising started, deflation has hit the servers hard, and many accounts were banned for cheating/hacking/botting etc. So I was looking forward to a lot of things, including chocobo raising - although there is a glitch where some chocobos are falling into comas. :(

I finished the chocobo raising quest and have a chocobo egg, ready and waiting to be handed over to the stables to hatch. Someone said its like a little tamagotchi all over again - another reason for people to log in everyday - to check on their little bird. I've also started gardening again so I can grow food and medicine, and ingredients for my chocobo. Unfortunately, there is a glitch that is putting some chocobos into a coma. :( Those poor birdies!! I hope they fix it soon.

Deflation hit the servers hard during this time too, although it was very nice to me, since I had been sitting on a nest-egg of gil (I was saving for cross-counters). Cross-counters for those who know the game, are a very nice weapon which is good for 23 levels - a nice investment for those who can afford it. And I always have the habit of saving for those expensive items even if it takes months. Anyway, in June/July, the item cost about 4.3 million, and dropped to around 2.9 - 3 million gil. I managed to get it for 2.8 million. :) With that big purchase behind me, I'm now ready to save up for the next big item. :)

Part of deflation was because Square Enix had banned / suspended a lot of accounts for cheating. Some were RMT, others were players that were cheating. Personally, I'm waiting for inflation to come back, which usually begins around October/November for Christmas. It probably won't be as bad as last year, but it will happen. I don't plan to buy any big things, like I did last year, and ended up paying a LOT more than I should have.

Anyway, I'm back in the game as usual. Our linkshell will be starting a level 1 static next weekend. Maybe we'll end up recruiting some people too, as we run around the starting zones.
