Good health, Grouse Grind, and vacation

Past few weeks seem to have a theme of improving health (mental, physical, intellectual etc):

- hubby and his bro have decided to do the Grouse Grind EVERY week. I decline, because I don't exercise. They've done it twice already, both times consistently being just over 1 hour. I probably wouldn't even make it 1/4 way up.
- hubby and I have finally begun to clean up the spare room. We've bought boxes and shelves, and things are looking neater, but nowhere near done. Less clutter = more space = space for some exercise equipment
- the hunt / research for exercise equipment begins. Most likely a stationary bike. We've looked at elliptical machines and we don't have the space even though that is what I want. Not to mention those things are just SOOO expensive. :(
- I've been getting back into creative writing. Characters that weren't "real" to me have been brought to life with some inspiration. Now they have motivation and history.
- I've made a personal goal of doing the Grouse Grind with hubby before the end of the year. :) Guess that means I should do cardio and build up those leg exercises. I'm pretty sure I'll fail this goal but doesn't mean I won't aim for it. Maybe I'll convince a certain Twin to aim for this goal, with me.
- Vacation planning is under way - final destination still uncertain but road trip routes being examined.

Being a well-rounded healthy person sure is expensive, not just in cost, but in time. At least I can make it fun.... Well, maybe the Grouse Grind won't be fun...

Nevermind. I revised my goal about climbing Grouse Grind by the end of the year.

I don't have the time or will to magically transform myself from happy couch potato who walks about 30 minutes each day, to complete exercise guru with legs (and a heart) fit for climbing a very very steep mountain, in less than 2 months.

I guess that's next year's goal then.

Good idea, to revise your goals. Don't want you to be one of those people who are "rescued!" We'll just have to walk more often together, and begin a good training regimen by running too!
