The saga continues...less sleep than ever!

Almost two weeks exactly since I've started my new job...and while I have been able to diminish the circles beneath my eyes (due to waking up sooo early and going to sleep late) with eye cream and sleeping 1 hour earlier than I used to...I think I've just ruined any segway I have made on those efforts...

Not only do I come home every day feeling physically and mentally tired, I have little time to relax and do the other hobbies that I like to enjoy, like write, read and play FF games. Granted - my writing never gets anywhere anyway, due to my constant rewrites, and I've played all my FF games (or tried) at least once...but I miss having time to enjoy those activities, especially the writing part.

So what do I do on the weekend besides sleep and go out with friends all day (and of course try to relax)? I go out and buy FFXI. Yep...that's right...I've finally succumbed and bought a MPORPG.

My very first Multi-Player On-line Role Playing Game.

Do I have time for that??? Of course not. I don't even have time to finish installing it!

Yep...that's right. I installed it yesterday, after work. It took all night, and I still had to cancel the "on-line update". Purchasing the game more than one year after it comes out has its good and bad side...good because the price has gone down significantly - bad because there are literally THOUSANDS of files to update. I had over 11,000 files to update last night. And I still have about 1,200 files left.

But life happens, right? Let's hope I will at least have time to actually CREATE my character tonight. Maybe on the weekend I'll shut myself in my room and actually get to play the game for a few hours, uninterrupted. I didn't spend all that money and time just to install, and not play.

Now...let's see who else in my family I can get hooked onto this game...hehehe. :D

BTW, if anyone has tips on this game, or on playing MPORPG, please leave me a message! I feel like such a newbie (though I've played almost all the FF games - wait...that just made me sound like a geek!) ... Oh well! :) Though I love FF...at least my life doesn't revolve around it!!
