Oh my goodness it was cold this morning!! And wet.
Talk about Wet Coast, sheesh, I think I could have swam to work today, or maybe paddled...
Roads were basically drowning, winds were whipping up at 100 km/hour, my umbrella worked only to protect my upper body (my pants got soaked), its crazy out there! The entire time I was walking to work I made sure to stay away from the edge of the sidewalk to avoid getting splashed from cars, I was walking through running water as I crossed the street, there weren't individual puddles but literally streams of water running through downtown!!
Supposedly, a pineapple express has run into a cold front from Alaska, whatever that means. I just know it means that trees are falling on cars, roads and houses all over North Van and West Van; highways are closed; a 4-storey building under construction collapsed in East Van due to the winds (thank goodness no one was hurt); ferries were cancelled; some schools were let out early; power is out in many neighborhoods; flights in Abbotsford are being redirected to YVR; and everyone is worried about flooding and clogged drains!!
There was a small threat of a tsunami early this morning as a result of an earthquake in Japan but oh my, Vancouver sure knows how to get wet!!
I think its time to try to find a canoe....or maybe I can release Carbuncle outside for awhile, for a little swim... Would Carbuncle run away????

You mean... swim away? Carbuncle wouldn't like it - the water's too cold! He might prefer the fish tank, since you are heating up heat pads, for the sides of the bowl, lol.
I think I need a yellow rain poncho... Ankle length!
