I don't consider myself to be an environmentalist, but I am environmentally aware. For example, I hate it when cars idle. I love that my hubby uses bio-diesel. I recycle almost anything I can. I don't understand why people in the city need large SUVs and trucks if you don't need it for work or family. I think a Hummer is pointless and useless. I love the idea of solar panels on my roof.
And next year, hubby and I are thinking of getting a compost so we will have less garbage and I'm trying to think of vegetables I can grow. We even want more fruit trees. All these initiatives from someone who is basically allergic to the outdoors *sniff*. But I love nature. I love our planet.
I wish others would take into consideration their actions (small or big) have on the environment around them.
Besides, it feels so good to be going green!!
